La prefettura e la sua composita competenza in materia religiosa

This article briefly reprises the nature and traditional competences in religious matters of the Italian Prefectures. It critically addresses the functions carried out in the contemporary context by this institution in the field of law and religion, noting that these are connected to the sensitive issue of migration migratory phenomena. Particular attention is given to the regulation by the Prefectures of the entry and expulsion of foreigners when such measures are determined by their religious affiliation.
