The article tells the story of Alfonso Rospocher, a sniper of the Landesshützen, engaged in the valleys of Trentino during the First World War and, after the war, inventor of mousetraps and fly-killing devices: a true and, in many ways, a parallel story to the biography and some works of Robert Musil, from the pages of his Diaries dedicated to World War I at the Italian front to the story Flypaper.
