The EasyScreen BERAphone® may play a role not only in screening but also in ongoing hearing surveillance. The easyScreen BERAphone® (aABR+DPOAE/TEOAE), combined with age-appropriate behavioral audiometry, can be valuable for monitoring children at risk of late-onset hearing loss, including those with: - Congenital CMV - Genetic mutations - Exposure to ototoxic drugs - Infectious diseases. If a “refer” result is obtained in one or both ears, a threshold ABR should be performed as soon as possible to confirm and quantify the degree of hearing loss.
