Ri-pensare le tecniche. Origine, sviluppi e dibattiti attuali nella scena francese del gruppo MàP

This essay traces the path of the French group Matière à Penser, founded at the University of Paris Descartes in 1994 by Jean-Pierre Warnier, some students and doctoral students such as Marie-Pierre Julien and Céline Rosselin-Bareille. The debate begins with a re-interpretation of the Techniques of the body (Mauss 1934) and takes into consideration some theoretical contributions on the relationship between the body, its techniques and its material cultures. The paper explores the originality of the Màp approach, up to the most recent works. Finally, it underlines the impact of its contributions to ongoing debates in the field.
