La progressiva affermazione del diritto umano a un’abitazione adeguata nell’ordinamento giuridico dell’Unione europea

The Progressive Affirmation of the Right to Adequate Housing in the Legal Order of the European Union The aim of this contribution is to analyse the role of the European Union (EU) in promoting and protecting the right to adequate housing, which, although widely recognised by international law, is not explicitly referred to in the Lisbon Treaty. In particular, after having examined the set of European measures that directly or indirectly affect this right, as well as the relevant case law of the CJEU, the contribution questions whether the European institutions may have specific competence in this area.
