Innovations in Otology & Neuro-Otology (GIAF roundtable)

This roundtable will address key innovations in otology and neurotology, with a focus on clinical challenges and advancements. Topics include the prevalence of vestibular deficiencies in cochlear implant recipients and the necessity of vestibular evaluations before and after implantation. Another discussion will explore the management of single-sided deafness in cases of Cytomegalovirus infection, examining the reasons behind hesitancy in treating unilateral sensorineural hearing loss. The final presentation will cover the vestibular follow-up of children with congenital Cytomegalovirus infection, highlighting both current limitations and potential future directions for improvement in clinical care.
