This paper aims to interrelate the social Magisterium of Pope Francis on integral ecology and the civil doctrine of the commons. We consider that this study, carried out in the light of the historical-juridical method, could propitiate a renewed dialogue between civil and canonical doctrine on a topic that is by its very nature interdisciplinary, such as the relationship of human beings with the world.

Abstract

This paper aims to interrelate the social Magisterium of Pope Francis on integral ecology and the civil doctrine of the commons. We consider that this study, carried out in the light of the historical-juridical method, could propitiate a renewed dialogue between civil and canonical doctrine on a topic that is by its very nature interdisciplinary, such as the relationship of human beings with the world.
