I limiti dei K.P.I. nel contrasto alla disinformazione online e i rischi per lo Stato

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), under the EU Code 2.0 and the Digital Service Act, are indicators of mathematical evaluation (quantitative and qualitative) of the actions of Internet platforms against online disinformation. While they assess the adequacy of countermeasures, they merely take a snapshot of the existing situation, i.e., the threats already identified by the monitoring platforms, without detecting the more elaborate forms of informational disorder, which can pose a serious risk to the State.

I Key Performance Indicators (KPI), ai sensi del Codice UE 2.0 e del Digital Service Act, sono indicatori di valutazione matematica (quantitativa e qualitativa) delle azioni delle piattaforme Internet contro la disinformazione online. Pur valutando l'adeguatezza delle contromisure, si limitano a fotografare la situazione esistente, cioè le minacce già identificate dalle piattaforme di monitoraggio, senza rilevare le forme più elaborate del disordine informativo, che possono rappresentare un grave rischio per lo Stato.
