Il lessico italiano marinaresco nelle opere di Joseph Furttenbach (1591–1667)

The contribution proposes a linguistic analysis of the maritime techni- cal lexicon present in Architectura navalis by Joseph Furttenbach (1591–1667), a treatise written in German in 1629 that contains a hundred Italian technical words. These terms 1) are attributable to Genoa, the city where Furttenbach had long been; 2) are found in other maritime treatises of the time; and 3) will be taken up in works written in French and Dutch.
