Abstract

The University is a strategic actor for territorial development in the cultural, social and economic fields, showing the integration of research, teaching and third mission activities for the co-construction of public goods and the improvement of the well-being of inhabitants. The paper presents the co-design process started by the geographers of the Imago Mundi Lab at the University of Bergamo to support the definition of the Local Development Strategy 2023-2027 of the Local Action Group (LAG) Colline Bergamasche. Assuming a Triple Helix approach, a socio-territorial study was carried out in preparation for a participatory process, in which public bodies, private enterprises, non-profit associations and inhabitants were involved in order to define strategic actions for the future, laying the foundations for a new shared local governance.
