Les arts dans les francophonies : un survol lexical

This contribution proposes an exploration of the vocabulary of the arts through the lexical characteristics of the varieties of French spoken outside France, using the resources available in the Base de données lexicographiques panfrancophones. The aim is to provide linguistic material that can be used for educational purposes to highlight the plural dimension of the French language and encourage approaches oriented towards plurilingualism and interculturalism. The corpus is examined from a thematic (semantic sub-domains represented) and linguistic (origin and typology of the lexical units selected) point of view in order to highlight the richest contexts for the observation of plurilingual contacts within French-speaking communities as well as their internal lexical creativity.
