Abstract

In this essay I analyse which spaces the Cuban writer Ronaldo Menéndez recreates in his fictional books; and I reflect on their function. In particular I will work on the spaces of a short story and some of his most recent novels. We will see that these are always places in decline, that reflect, and in the same time cause, the collapse of the protagonists.
