The present article shows the usages and advantages of corpus-driven and corpus-based discourse analyses for German as a Foreign Language. We present a didactical scenario building on the central aspects of the triangulation Corpus (Linguistics), Discourse (Linguistics) and German as a Foreign Language.We discuss how the investigation of the macrostructural and paratextual characteristics of Wikipedia-pages as well as interlingual corpus linguistic analyses can be fruitfully used in class.We hereby concentrate on a highly relevant topic, namely the climate discourse.
