The murdering of the Jews at Babyn Jar in Kyiv (september 1941) is reconstructed through the testimony of a literary source, the novel of Kuznecov. The novel is based on a great amount of historical documents and is an excellent source for recreating the whole tragedy of the city of Kyiv during the last war. The discrimination of Jewish poets and intellectuals in the USSR is also treated.
