L’interdisciplinarité au service de la presse clandestine de la Résistance française dans l’exemple de Combat, Défense de la France et Libération-Sud (1941–1944)

The aim of this contribution is to illustrate the interdisciplinarity neces- sary to approach the linguistic analysis of an atypical media such as the clandestine press of the French Resistance. Between the Nazi and collaborationist press and the obscurantism established by the occupation, this press was one of the main means of expression of a clandestine social movement. It is therefore fundamental to place it within the framework of the analysis of press discourse and many others, to discover the strategies by which this press managed to act on and for the community with manifest results. Nevertheless, before embarking on the important studies of its dis- course, and to fully understand its linguistic, rhetorical, and argumentative strategies, it is necessary to frame the clandestine press in a context of interdisciplinary studies, which encompasses historical, sociological, and press studies. Only in this way is it possible to fully understand its invaluable contribution.
