The paper proposes two exegetical and linguistic notes on the eleventh chapter of the anonymous Fragmentum Censorini. The first note examines Pseudo Censorinus’ partition of music, with particular regard to the nature and the role of crusmatica, whereas the second one reflects on the etymologies of rhythmos and versus provided by the anonymous compiler.
