L’allegoria della maschera: il Conte di Kevenhüller e Salutz

In 1986, two poetry books were published: Il Conte di Kevenhüller by Giorgio Caproni and Salutz by Giovanni Giudici. These works emphasize the theatrical dimension within their writing, using the allegory of the mask to depict the “I” that navigates the discourse, yet acknowledging its crisis through the use of disguises and a proliferation of figures. Both poems maintain a metapoetic quality, transforming the lyrical subject's image into a portrayal of disintegration across their verses.

Nel 1986 escono due libri di poesia: Il Conte di Kevenhüller di Giorgio Caproni e Salutz di Giovanni Giudici. La dimensione teatrale domina lo spazio della scrittura e l’allegoria della maschera mostra la natura di un io che continua a gestire il discorso, ma ne sancisce la messa in crisi, proprio in virtù dei travestimenti e della moltiplicazione delle figure. Un’istanza metapoetica affiora lungo i due poemetti, trasfigurando nei versi l’immagine di una disgregazione del soggetto lirico.
