The article examines the role of literary text, understood as a complex communicative unite, in the lessons of Russian as foreign language. In particular, the work emphasizes the importance of the concept of semantic field for the orientation in understanding the text on micro and macrostructural levels. It is also underlined how this approach to the text can be useful for foreign students to conduct its logical and structured written analysis.
