But the paradoxical character of it stands out against the background of the many paradoxes of the relationship with Russian people of the writer as a young girl, thanks to her father Charles Burney’s many acquaintances.
La prima parte del titolo allude a un piccolissimo episodio della ricezione delle opere di Frances Burney. Ma il suo carattere paradossale di questo caso risalta sullo sfondo dei tanti paradossi del rapporto con il popolo russo della scrittrice nella sua prima giovinezza, grazie alle numerose conoscenze del padre, lo storico della musica Charles Burney.
