This essay aims to provide a reflection in the field of analysis methodologies about contemporary forms of oral narration, in the context of embera dóbida mythopoietic pro duction in the Colombian Pacific region. The analysis compares two oral narrations of the cosmogonical story of Jinu Potó, made by a young member of the embera Dóbida community of Boca de Jagua and by an older member of the embera Dóbida community of Yucal, both located in the Department of Chocó (Colombia). The article interweaves a study of the narrative motifs (motifemes) of the story with an analysis of ‘what happens between’ the narrative. According to the proposed thesis, what happens between the narration integrates the epistemological dimension of the embera oraliterary production and condenses traces and trajectories of the contemporary futural process of epistemic reconfiguration in different colombian indigenous cultures, particularly in contexts of forced displacement

Abstract
