La «Règle du Je» nei racconti identitari di lingua francese

In contemporary French literature, there has been a proliferation of narratives of the self that have been labeled in the most diverse ways. They range from the various formulas of 'autofiction' to true autobiographies, from 'biofictions' to trauma-repairing narratives written by combatant refugees or victims of genocides. In order to navigate what has been called " l'écheveau complexe des " écritures de soi " (Viart et Vercier, 2008 : 29), we have chosen to focus on the question of identity. The intervention will, therefore, propose a taxonomy of the relationship between identity and memory through a few examples taken from contemporary French-language texts. In particular, the relationship with gender identity, cultural identity in movement, Post-traumatic identity, Identity at the test of the post-human. Some considerations will also be made on the prominence in French literature of the trial form, in which the relationship between fact and fiction is constantly questioned.
