This final chapter addresses the connections between academic research on technology-assisted learning and the actual educational practice in the classroom. First, the chapter analyzes the main causes hindering a productive dialogue between teachers and researchers, which may be attributed to both parts. Then, some proposals are formulated to make such dialogue more effective and fruitful. These include approaches to improve the accessibility of research results to teachers, a stronger emphasis on open educational resources, and a focus on the sharing of users’ data (both teachers and students) as a fundamental asset for improving digital learning applications.
