The article focuses on journal lists oriented to research evaluation in Humanities, specifically concerning History and philosophy of science. It begins with an overview of main issues concerning the use of journal lists, especially in connection to the Italian research evaluation initiatives, and afterwards it presents a study about a comparison between ERIH, Norwegian list, CIRC e ANVUR journal lists. In conclusion, the article gives some opinions about the use of journal lists in research evaluation of considered field of study, also related to international debate caused by Leiden manifesto, and about international databases and tools used in Italian research evaluation system.
