This article is a discussion of Francesca Rescigno’s book Per un habeas corpus “di genere” (2022). It addresses Rescigno’s perspective on the principle of self-determination, by suggesting further problematization and a closer look at the feminist debate towards it. Moreover, it argues in favour of a feminist approach to sex and gender medicine.
