In this essay I publish and discuss two fragments from the main urban sanctuary of Selinunte, originally belonging to a statue ca. m 3.50 high. The most relevant piece, a left foot, was exca- vated in 2007 near to the northwestern corner of Temple B, as part of the layer of Hellenistic leveling of ca. 300 BC characterizing the southern sector of the main urban sanctuary. A second fragment, belonging to a big toe, has been excavated by Ettore Gàbrici in the 1920s, always in the main urban sanctuary. The colossal statue was most likely seated, and it was either made of a combination of limestone and Parian marble, or an acrolith.

A second fragment, belonging to a big toe, has been excavated by Ettore Gàbrici in the 1920s, always in the main urban sanctuary.
