Selected papers from DSP Application Day Conference & Seminars

The first DSP Application Day was held in 2000 in Milan, Italy. Since then, a series of eight DSP Application Day events took place through 2007. After eight years, this event is now mature and well established, providing a forum for groundbreaking discussion of applications based on DSP. Topics of interest included: • Digital audio processing • Speech processing • Communication signal processing • Neural networks and fuzzy logic for digital signal processing • Musical DSP applications • DSP architectures for signal processing Papers have been selected for inclusion in these proceedings as representative of the above topics. Today, digital signal processing is considered the most important method for implementing innovative applications in a vast array of technology areas and digital signal processors are the enabling technology. The aim and inspiration for DSP Application Day was to establish a stable forum where strategies for designing, developing, and applying DSP could be presented and ideas could be shared.
