The essay, based on archival materials from the Amfiteatrov's Archive (Indiana University) aims to reconstruct the relationship between the Russian writer and journalist Aleksandr Amfiteatrov, with many representatives of the Russian Diaspora and Italian Culture during his long stay in Italy from 1905 to 1916 and from 1922 to his death in 1938. The consulted materials show that Amfiteatrov had a preminent role in the dissemination of Russian Literature in Italy, connecting Russian émigrée writers in France and Italian translators and publishing houses.
