The possibility that a patient centred style could decrease the probability of malpractice claims will be discussed. We will examine the relationship between patient centred medicine and patient satisfaction; and the relationship between patient satisfaction and malpractice claims. We will also discuss the data in literature that demonstrate a direct link between the communication style of doctors and the number of instances they received.
