| Abstract: | In the wide domain of wisdom literature, the dialogic option characterizes a small group of question and answer texts, which gained constant success during the Middle Ages and beyond. In the Iberian peninsula the ancient pattern has been adapted, with structural and thematic variations, to obtain a didactic instrument more comprehensive; but the diversion offered by the fictional framework and the intellectual challenge to the reader were appreciated as well, and preserved. It’s particularly interesting to find some of the same features in well-known encyclopedic works as the french Livre de Sydrac, where vulgarization is combined with edification and entertainment. |
| Abstract: | En el vasto ámbito de la literatura sapiencial, la opción dialógica caracteriza un pequeño grupo de textos organizados por preguntas y respuestas, cuyo éxito fue constante durante la Edad Media y más allá. En área ibérica el esquema tradicional ha sido utilizado, a través de variaciones estructurales y temáticas, para ofrecer un instrumento didáctico más rico de informaciones, sin renunciar ni a la diversión ofrecida por el marco narrativo, ni al reto intelectual puesto al lector. De aquí el interés para las correspondencias detectadas a varios niveles con obras de ambiciones enciclopédicas, como el Livre de Sydrac francés, donde la divulgación se combina con la edificación y el entretenimiento. |
