We propose a method for close-range 3D reconstruction of objects from stereo correspondence of luminance patches which works with an arbitrary multi-camera geometry. The area matching process is performed in 3D space as it takes both perspective and radiometric distortion into account. An implementation of the technique with a calibrated set of three standard TV-resolution CCD cameras is presented and tested over real scenes.

Abstract
We propose a method for close-range 3D reconstruction of objects from stereo correspondence of luminance patches which works with an arbitrary multi-camera geometry. The area matching process is performed in 3D space as it takes both perspective and radiometric distortion into account. An implementation of the technique with a calibrated set of three standard TV-resolution CCD cameras is presented and tested over real scenes.Pubblicazioni consigliate
