The system AgI-AgPO//3-Ag//3AsO//4 possesses a large region of glass formation in which compositions rich in AgI form ionic conducting electrolytes. The suggestion that the properties of these glasses depend mainly upon the AgI content, the only mobile ions being those introduced in the form of the silver halide, is supported in this paper by thermodynamic considerations. Using classical relationships, the molar entropy of the ions exchanged at the electrodes may be computed from thermoelectric power data.

Abstract
The system AgI-AgPO//3-Ag//3AsO//4 possesses a large region of glass formation in which compositions rich in AgI form ionic conducting electrolytes. The suggestion that the properties of these glasses depend mainly upon the AgI content, the only mobile ions being those introduced in the form of the silver halide, is supported in this paper by thermodynamic considerations. Using classical relationships, the molar entropy of the ions exchanged at the electrodes may be computed from thermoelectric power data.Pubblicazioni consigliate
