The novel anion [Re3H3I(CO)11]- has been obtained by reaction of ethanolic I2 solutions with either [Re4H4I(CO)15]- or [Re4H4(CO)15]2-. It has been characterized by IR, NMR and single-crystal X-ray analysis. The anion contains an equilateral metal atoms triangle (mean ReRe 3.265 Å) bearing six equatorrial and five axial CO groups. The iodide ligand is terminally bound in axial position (ReI 2.839(4) Å). The hydride ligands are bridging on the Re3 triangular edges. © 1981.

Abstract
© 1981.Pubblicazioni consigliate
