The recently proposed, combined conductimetric/pH-metric monitoring of impurities (at ppb level) of ultrapure waters for industrial uses offers significant advantages, but presents some strict requirements in terms of standardization of pH procedure and of knowledge of accurate ref. data of self-cond. of water at 0-100°. The key features are discussed critically, the optimized set of ΧH2O values is provided, and correct procedural and operational steps are given.

Abstract
The recently proposed, combined conductimetric/pH-metric monitoring of impurities (at ppb level) of ultrapure waters for industrial uses offers significant advantages, but presents some strict requirements in terms of standardization of pH procedure and of knowledge of accurate ref. data of self-cond. of water at 0-100°. The key features are discussed critically, the optimized set of ΧH2O values is provided, and correct procedural and operational steps are given.Pubblicazioni consigliate
