The essay is a critical reconstruction of the biography of the writer Yukio Mishima (1925-1970), on the occasion of an anthology of his works (retranslated from the Japanese), published by Mondadori. In particular, the paper seeks to condemn the ''like-politics'' ideological mistreatment made of the Author for decades, and to rather highlight the complex and consistent development of his artistic material, in prose, essays, theater.
