The necropolis of Olmo di Nogara (Verona). 2009 excavation - The paper presents the results of the last excavation in the well-known Bronze-Age necropolis. The new area of investigation is located at the north-western corner of Area C. The new excavations have brought to light the traces of the two parallel palisades which delimited the necropolis at the western side. 10 inhumation tombs were recovered, among which a male tomb with a sword and some female tombs with hairpins deserve a special mention. The tombs are on the whole to be dated between the Middle Bronze Age 3 and the Late Bronze Age. For each burial, a complete anthropological profile is presented. In the area of the necropolis more ancient documents were also found, which can be dated to a final phase of the Neolithic, and more recent documents, which can be dated to the Final Bronze Age. Among the latter, the deposition of a deer at the bottom of a pit stands out, and is to be interpreted probably as a ritual deposition.
