A Year of Social Movements in Italy : from the “No TAVs” to the Five Star Movement

It’s been five years since the beginning of the crisis, and the movements that arose as a response [to it] have not yet come together. Florence is the place for a fresh start in order to share, at the European level, an appraisal of what happened, that is, the bottom-up experience, and the proposals on how to make Europe change its route. Democracy, austerity, debt, common goods, employment, social rights, peace and conflicts, mobilization—these are the themes at the core of the discussion.
