The complex enunciative structure of Gide’s L’école des femmes is considered. The three narrators relate three different parts of of the same story, but also deploy their exclusive personal viewpoints in a sort of watertight-compartment manner. Results hold that, on one hand, a double bond links creator and characters, and, on the other, narrator and creator.
