The Persiles chapters set in Milan and Lucca presuppose an intense intertextual dialogue between Cervantes and Italian authors. We analyze the sources of the descriptions of the two cities, the echo of the academic disquisitions about “love and jealousy” and the Grazzini and Bargagli’s influence of in the Isabela Castrucho episode. In these pages, the author carries out a genuine literary pilgrimage with critical acuity and sense of humor.

Analizziamo le fonti a cui risalgono le descrizioni delle due città, l'eco delle disquisizioni accademiche su "amore e gelosia" e l'influenza di Grazzini e Bargagli nell'episodio di Isabela Castrucho. In questi capitoli, l'autore svolge un autentico pellegrinaggio letterario con acume critico e senso dell'umorismo.
