The continuous improvement in the quality of health care /at a technical, scientific and organizational level) is the necessary basis for and priority of any health policy. This concept requires a constant evaluation of the quality of the service provided by the individual physician or the health care facility as a whole. The accreditation of the facilities providing health services is one of the most effective tools to foster and certify the qualitative improvement of health care. Such an approach to health care quality is especially important in the case of ultrasund scanning in vascular pathologies, which in many districts is the basic diagnostic evaluation method that conditions the therapeutic choice.
