Obama’s foreign policy is controversial – more so than his domestic policy – and it seems aimed at Asia. The President had announced important changes in the Middle East, but no explicit strategy is perceivable in his policy. He is now involved in a critical negotiation with Iran and this really unstable region is the center of conflicts that are difficult to disentangle: the civil war in Syria, Iraq split in two by a self-proclaimed Islamic state, yet another war in Gaza, Lebanon ready to explode, a Balkanized Libya and Egypt normalized by the military.

Abstract
Obama’s foreign policy is controversial – more so than his domestic policy – and it seems aimed at Asia. The President had announced important changes in the Middle East, but no explicit strategy is perceivable in his policy. He is now involved in a critical negotiation with Iran and this really unstable region is the center of conflicts that are difficult to disentangle: the civil war in Syria, Iraq split in two by a self-proclaimed Islamic state, yet another war in Gaza, Lebanon ready to explode, a Balkanized Libya and Egypt normalized by the military.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
