El bienestar animal : principio fundamental de la cria agroecologica

As part of an international cooperation project has developed a line of work that aims to strengthen, promote and support small organic livestock production in Uruguay. Animal welfare is highlighted to be one of the basic principles of agro-ecological animal management. This article has been developed to promote the dissemination and exchange of the latest knowledge related to the animal welfare. In this paper, we analyze the origin, meaning, the importance and methods of assessment of animal welfare, taking into account the critical points of agroecological breeding and the importance of organic certification process.
