The questions investigated by the ALBIOS study are: “which is the best therapy to grant adequate volume replacement according to predefined hemodynamic goals, improve, or eventually increase, septic patients outcome?” And again “Has the hemodynamic equilibrium to be maintained by infusing albumin or colloids?” Goals of the study: To verify the effects of volume replacement by albumin infusion and maintenance of albumin plasmatic concentration within a physiological range (≥ 30 g/l) on 28-day, 90-day survival and on the number and severity of multi-organ failures in septic and septic shock patients admitted to ICU compared to crystalloid infusion. The study is now concluded and the lecture presents the final results submitted for publication.

Abstract
The study is now concluded and the lecture presents the final results submitted for publication.Pubblicazioni consigliate
