The experimental results obtained for the diffusion of Ag + , Cu + and Na + in vitreous Ag 6I 4WO 4 are discussed on the basis of the short range structure previously proposed for this kind of superionic conductors. The lower mobility of Na + is attributed to the higher energy wall trapping this ion in the octahedrally coordinated sites.
