Thanks to the availability of very high-throughput genotyping technologies, SNPs have become the genetic markers of choice for high resolution genetic studies. The aim of this work was the development of a high-throughput and easy-to-use DNA chip technology for SNP bovine genotyping in routine analysis. A total of 68 SNPs were selected, 45 affecting milk production traits and 5 responsible of genetic diseases; an appropriate combination of the SNP included in the panel will be used for traceability and paternity testing.

Abstract
