Labour and social economy in Italy: a composite legal framework = Travail et économie sociale dans un cadre juridique italien instable

The contribution provides an overview of the composite legal framework for the social economy in Italy. Although the Italian legislation has not so far introduced a common discipline of the social economy - focusing only on the non-profit Third Sector - the Author outlines the different regulations and provisions that place Italian legal system at the forefront in the promotion of the social economy and, specifically, of its « labour dimension », also outlining the need to further insist on the recognition of the quality of jobs as a foundational feature of the social economy.
