A set of criteria, used for the collection of Manzoni’s marginal notes, has been provided with a view to the production of volume N° 23 of the National Edition; the collection started with Un laboratorio di italiano venturo in 2013, in which the information about the annotated books of the Milanese libraries, in Morone Street and in Brera, had been gathered and set right. The whole catalogue includes the supplement to data provided by the annotated books of the library of Brusuglio. The sum of data will be put in relation to the glosses to Crusca Veronese, and the quotations that are present in Manzoni’s texts as well as in lists and scrutinies of papers. Close attention will be paid to the comparison between the letters of the sources and the ones in the transcriptions.
