The following pages list fibers, semi-finished and finished products in linen and silk, present in the State of Milan in 1778, with an indication of the meaning, if it was not immediately understandable, and of the value. The essay is therefore a working tool to check the variety of a segment of the Duchy's offer in the second half of the eighteenth century and to shed light on the meaning of terms that are sometimes difficult to understand.

Nelle pagine seguenti sono elencati fibre, semilavorati e prodotti finiti in lino e in seta, presenti nello Stato di Milano nel 1778, con l’indicazione del relativo significato, qualora non fosse di immediata comprensione, e del valore. Il contributo è dunque uno strumento di lavoro che consente di verificare la varietà di un segmento dell’offerta del Ducato nella seconda metà del XVIII secolo e di gettare luce sul significato di termini talvolta di difficile comprensione.
