We have measured protein kinase C (PKC) activity in cytosolic fractions of leech central nervous system. Phosphatidylserine and oleylacetylglycerol enhanced the activity of the enzyme in a dose-dependent manner even in the absence of calcium. Most of the substrates of the calcium-dependent protein kinase are substrates of the PKC. H-7 and polymyxin B inhibited both PKC and Ca 2+-dependent protein kinase.

Abstract
We have measured protein kinase C (PKC) activity in cytosolic fractions of leech central nervous system. Phosphatidylserine and oleylacetylglycerol enhanced the activity of the enzyme in a dose-dependent manner even in the absence of calcium. Most of the substrates of the calcium-dependent protein kinase are substrates of the PKC. H-7 and polymyxin B inhibited both PKC and Ca 2+-dependent protein kinase.Pubblicazioni consigliate
