The present longitudinal study (based on data from the European NEXT-Study) focus on the main and interactive effects of job demands and job control on emotional exhaustion and job dissatisfaction among Italian nurses. The final purpose is to sustain the development of evidence-based prevention programmes in order to face increasing nursing shortage in the healthcare sector and maintain good standards of nursing care delivery.
