We report on 2 male patients, aged 29 and 24 years respectively, with tufted hair folliculitis. In both patients the dermatitis was characterized by erythematous, pustular, crusted and scaling lesions, as well as scarring alopecia. In addition, tufts, each made up of 4-12-normal appearing hairs, were present and were seen emerging from a single follicular opening. Histopathological examination showed a typical picture of tufted hair folliculitis. One patient was successfully treated by surgical excision.
